By using PDS “Pipe Support Designer” module (PDS Intergraph), Sikla RDB files (Sikla Pipe Shoe and component library) can be imported. This Sikla library enables the planning of the whole scope of Sikla Pipe Shoe application for the industrial sector. In combination with the SUcad plug-in (company IKN) Sikla Pipe Shoes can be supplemented to a complete pipe support.

For PDS SUcad users the Sikla library for Sikla Strut System MS41, siFramo Systems and Sikla Structural Elements (Beam System 100 and 120) can be ordered by company IKN. By using PDS SUcad the process time for the support design can be significantly reduced- as a consequence the error ratio is going down.

Special Joining Beam Bracket QKO (with two footplates)
By using the command window (Sikla tools) of SUcad the user is able to design special components with user defined beam section length – a second footplate can be added to a standard Joining Beam Bracket QKO.
Connection to structural steel beam
The IKN SUcad plug-in is able to check the existing steel structure by a mouse click to offer the user the right size of Sikla footplate (End Supports WBD F). As soon as the user confirms the pre-selection the Sikla footplate is placed to structural steel. By counting the footplates the right size and type of clamping sets will be added and everything is included in the bill of materials (BOM).
Sikla optimized planning
To finish the Sikla support design the user will be directed through only some of all internal or external possible connection types – that means less planning time and prevention of errors.
